Validation test No. 1
The correctness of the code and the accuracy of the calculations of Microflow 3D v1.0 has been validated. For validation, we use a straight square channel test case. The test has been prepared with the view to verify the correctness of the pressure drop and velocity profile calculations at a laminar flow regime in a steady-state. For a detailed case study (scientific background, calculations, and results), please look into the test directory: /Data/Validation_tests/Case_MEDIUM_straight_square_channel/description/. There you can find several files: Test_description.pdf, Pressure_drop_calculations.ods, and Matlab's script square_profile_v2.m.

Brief description of test results
Performance: 45.301 MLUPS run on 6 cores of 8-core Intel Core i9-9900K DDR4 3000 MT/s
Pressure drop relative mean error of calculations (PO from Delplace): 0.341660% at termination criteria of 0.1% mass flow error (inlet/outlet).
Velocity calculations, relative mean error at half-length of the channel: 0.10431% at termination criteria of 0.1% mass flow error (inlet/outlet).
Velocity calculations, the median value of relative error at half-length of the channel: 0.055629%.
Below, you can find the selected results of the analysis presented in figures 1-3.
